Portugal Tech Week: one of the biggest innovation festivals in the world!

    Festival aims to bring together more than 100 events around Portugal, becoming the biggest in Portugal and one of the biggest in the world!

    With the ambition of consolidating Portugal as one of the main global hubs for technology and innovation, Portugal Tech Week was born.

    From the 27th of October to the 6th of November, the initiative will bring together more than 100 events, with Web Summit being one of the main attractions.

    By spreading the importance of technology and innovation through the dissemination of knowledge and networking, the initiative will multiply the value generated by the great conferences that take place during this period in the four corners of the country, consolidating Portugal as a global technology hub.

    The program is organized in a decentralized way, guaranteeing the visibility of the various Portuguese and global players, and any organization can suggest / submit events to the schedule (here in this link).

    The organization is looking for events that take place in Portugal, that relate to technology and innovation and have as one of its objectives to generate connections and opportunities for those who participate. The formats may vary according to the understanding of their organizers.

    Once approved, the organizers will have their events listed on the general schedule and their logos featured on the main page of the festival’s platform.

    “During this period, major events take place in major cities, such as the Solana Breakpoint Conference and the Web Summit itself in Lisbon, and the Porto Tech Hub Conference and HackerX in Porto. It is necessary to generate more density in large centers decentralize the impact generated from ths big conferences to all the Portuguese Cities cities”, says Fernando Jardim, one of the co-organizers of the festival.

    Portugal Tech Week is organized by the 351 Associação Portuguesa de Startups, the largest startup community in Portugal, with more than 1100 members, it has the support of several local actors, such as Nova SBE, as well as international partners and its first version of the schedule & partners will be announced soon.
